  • You are correct for static pressure and static temperature. The question is asking about total temperature, not static. Total pressure and temperature are always constant in a converging or diverging duct.

    It would just be papers where that question comes up unfortunately. I wasn't aware that each paper had one of them specifically (but wouldn't be surprised if that was true), but you would still have to do it as per normal.

  • When planning (in the crew room) you must have good weather +-1hr.

    At time of takeoff there must be good weather at dest at time of arrival.

    Hope that helps.

    Ho norab,

    I'm sitting FP on Monday.

    As far as you know, are they taking out the 3 points question (mass and balance type) from ALL tests, or only from the papers where TL equals DOM so the error is obvious?

    If not, do you have any idea how to solve that question?...

    The question will be annulled for the purposes of counting your score. Hopefully it wont appear in future tests.

    The question says straight and level flight at constant IAS. Looking at the lift equation:

    L=0.5 * rho * V^2 * Cl * S

    We need constant lift. We are told that V doesn't change. Therefore nothing else in the equation, including Cl, can change.

    You are generally right...

    Thanks a lot, hadn't realised the 3nm comes into play before established on localiser.

    When you say "On Dependent parallel approaches a separation of 2.5 NM between aircraft on adjacent approaches is possible"

    I think that this is in disagreement with...
