  • Question ID: 710316

Malfunctioning of the automatic pressurization system is indicated by:

    1. A change in environmental sounds.
    2. The cabin altitude gauge indicates an abnormal rate of climb.
    3. The differential pressure between the exterior and the interior of the aircraft

The combination regrouping all the correct statements is: 1,2,3

N3 sounds really strange to me. We have differential pressure normally. I would agree to "drop in differential pressure"
Could I appeal that question if I see it on exam?

    Re: Question ID: 710316

There is a word missing -

    3. The differential pressure between the exterior and the interior of the aircraft decreases

The question is not good - a malfunction could mean a decrease in pressure - or it could be an overpressure.

For these pressurization questions, if you assume a 'rapid depressurization', you will get the answer

I will get the question corrected.

Yes, this does need adjusting. I think we have feedback on this, so I will rewrite it. This wording is exactly as it appeared in in the old QB, so I will change it. As it is, a very poorly written question.
