  • Question ID: 330946

    Hello,
On question 330946 the correct answer is wrong in my opinion:
"Given the following informstion fora Commercial Air Transport operation. How much fuel is needed for this segment?
Refere to CAP 697 Fig 4.5.3.1

    Gross Mass 40 000 Kg
    Pressure Altitude 32 000 ft
    ISA - 10
    HWC 25 Kt
    Segment distance 350 NAM
    "

If you interpolate the mass at the end of the leg is 38377kg and not 38400kg.

    Then:
    Fuel Used = 40 000 Kg - 38 377 Kg = 1623 Kg

Decrease Fuel required by 0.6 % per 10 below ISA.
    1623 * 0.6% = 9.74kg ~ 10kg

    1623 Kg - 10 Kg = 1613 Kg

The closest answer is 1610kg which is marked wrong...
Working...
