      For the 10, 99490lbs seems to be the correct answer. For the 9 I have no idea, sorry!

        Perhaps it could be like this, a guy posted in another forum
        RCF1
        Trip 6000 kg + 5% DP to A (3000) 150 kg = 6150 Kg RCF 1
        RCF 2 Dep to DP to C
        4000 Kg + 5% Cgy 200Kg = 4200 Kg RCF 2 ANSWER RCF 1 - 6150 Kg

            looking at the regulation, if I understood correctly, it's correct the bigger value between: trip fuel from departure to destination + 5 % trip fuel between DP and destination or trip fuel from departure to refuel airport + 5% of this trip fuel

              Agree with aviator_FXE,

              There are two equations to remember (if the second even ever needs to be considered) and the greater total is the one to take;

              RCF1: A>B + (5% DP > B)
              RCF2: A>C + (5% A > C)

              A = Departure
              B = Destination
              C = Alternate
              (Points to all go via Decision Point (DP))

              1) A>B = 6000kg + (5% 3000) = 6150kg total.
              2) A>C = 4000kg + (5% 4000) = 4200kg total.

              Minimum total is 6150kg, minimum contingency is 150kg (5% of 3000).
