Flight Envelope Protection and Autotrust

According to Q222083 Overspeed protection function inhibits pitch trim in nose down direction while it does not reduce trust or extend speed breaks. Explanation says that Flight Envelope Protection only influences flight controls.
At the same time Q222268 says that stall protection is the part of Flight Envelope Protection which can do some or all of the following:

• Select a nose-down attitude
• Extend the flaps to some degree
• Increase thrust using the A/T

It seems to me that these 2 statements oppose each other. I was not sure if speed breaks have max speed limitations however after a quick search, it seems there are none. Why wouldn't an overspeed function reduce thrust and extend speed breaks?
