    Which of the following statements is correct about the flow in a divergent (subsonic) gas turbine engine intake?

    I. The static pressure increases in flow direction.
    II. The total temperature increases in flow direction.

    A- I is incorrect, II is correct.
    B- I is correct, II is incorrect.
    C- I is incorrect, II is incorrect.
    D- I is correct, II is correct.

    What am I missing here?

    To me in a divergent duct, static pressure and temperature increase and velocity decrease. Why answer D is marked as incorrect?

    You are correct for static pressure and static temperature. The question is asking about total temperature, not static. Total pressure and temperature are always constant in a converging or diverging duct.

      Thanks for your answer norab. It does makes senses now. Just need to be more careful about the question and the word used.
