CTA and TMA

I would like to have a clear distinction between CTA and TMA.
I'm well aware of the difference between CTR and TMA, but not been CTA and TMA. It's clear they both start from a certain level (minimum 700 ft AGL).

In simple terms, a CTA serves a single airport. If you had a few airports in close proximity then their CTAs would infringe each other - the solution is to create one area shared by each airport, hence TMA.
