Hi everyone,
I am an ex Bristol Student converting my ICAO ATPL to an EASA ATPL.
I noticed I have to obtain a Telephony Licence as part of this conversion and noticed on the CAA application form (SRG 1183A) for an ATPL conversion that the following requirements under section 12 pertaining to Flight Radio Telephony are rows to be completed:
A) COMMUNICATIONS (WRITTEN)
B) HF THEORY (WRITTEN)
C) RADIOTELEPHONY PRACTICAL TEST
I have already booked my practical test at my local aerodrome but was wondering whether I have to take the communications and HF theory written papers seeing as I have done the ATPL VFR and IFR comms papers as part of my ATPL with BGS. Just for reference the IFR and VFR papers were sat back in August 2014.
Also on a separate note, can I confirm my understanding that the ATPL exams are valid for 3 years from the date of my last ATPL exam.
Many thanks all!
