  • ICAO ATPL to EASA ATPL

    Hello everyone,

I have an ICAO ATPL since 2009, and thinking of converting to the EASA licence. I have the requirements to be exempted from approved training thanks to my flying experience so I'm going to try and write the exam only by doing home study. I know it's quite challenging but due to my work, I can not attend training to prepare me for the exams. I have purchased the BGS database for one year and will use some ATPL books I have to study in parallel. Could you please give me some tips on which groups of exams I should write? I'm not in a rush to pass all of them but I would like if possible to finish all of them in 3 or 4 sittings maximum. I will be writing the exams in Malaysia. Also I read on this forum we need to bring our own charts for navigation. Do you have a link where I can buy all the relevant materials we need for the exams?

    Thank you for your help.
